Reasons to choose Agritrend tractor frame mounted 3-point linkage chain harrows

  1. This  is a British designed chain harrow range to be proud of.  Agritrend harrows are the heaviest and most aggressive design available in Europe
  2. 8mm steel profiles are used on the frame mount in place of the 6mm commonplace industry standard
  3. The harrow teeth weigh 455 grams more,  compared to the next best chain harrow competitor product. They last longer and work harder and have superior shatter resistance.
  4. The harrow teeth are double sided. One side for levelling poached and rutted pasture and spreading dung and molehills where the stub teeth are 2.5mm longer than the next best competitor. The other side with longer teeth is used to tear out thatch and tickle in seeds or to cultivate ploughed land.
  5. Extra metal is used on the parts of the tooth most sensitive to wear, most notably the eyelets on each tooth. This extends working life by years.
  6. The 3-point linkage headstock is more robust because we have generously engineered it with heavy steel profiles.
  7. On the smaller models, both Cat I and Cat II 3-point linkage are available enabling micro and small tractor owners to harrow aggressively.
  8. The strength strap bands used have 14mm thickness in place of the 12mm industry standard.
  9. On all models, the wings have very heavy duty double knuckle  joints where the wings fold safely giving longer life and forgiving operator error.
  10. The rings which hold the tooth mat together  are 14mm thickness in place of the industry standard 12mm.
  11. The harrows come with robust snow board type skids with 8mm metal thickness.
  12. Hooks and D-shackles used to secure  the chain mat inside the  frame are  heavier to match the overall heavy build.
  13. Hydraulic folding is standard (not an option) on the  larger 4, 5 and 6m harrows. This is essential to give ease of use for operators of this heavier design.
  14. Symmetry and welding is to a  very high standard.

This picture shows the unique Agritrend Chain Harrow tooth, set down and resting on the long tooth side. We produce them during summer from our own moulds, and with a little manganese in the alloy to improve surface harness and resistance to wear and shock. Summer production uses warm weather so they cool more slowly to avoid an overly brittle result.
